At least we kansans can rest assured that the youth of our state is being kept safe from the perils of wackos preaching evolution. All thanks to our lovely attorney general, who took it upon himself to get stickers on all the science textbooks in KS high schools which read "Evolution is just a theory" (maybe a bit of paraphrasing...). For more hilarious and enlightening thoughts on this topic, I encourage everyone to check out www.venganza.org, aka "Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster".

So yeah, it sucks to live here sometimes...but that's just a reason to keep pushing for change, right? (that's what I keep telling myself, anyway). Watching Rosa Parks' burial procession on tv this morning probably made a lot of people stop and think about the impact that one brave person can have.

I feel your pain, Faye. Will you marry me?

  2. I am not a closet cynic.
Since you like quotes, here's a good Christian quote to use in your argument with those who are stupid enough to disagree with you.

It was said by Oliver Cromwell (a _very_ good Christian btw) in 1650 to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland:
"I beseech you, in the bowels of Christ, think it possible you may be mistaken!"

But I like you blog. Cynics should unite.
