Yay! I think that your goal to make this a more inclusive blog sounds fantastic. I'm always interested in hearing what other things are going on in people's lives. It's awesome that you're going to give me a chance to.
Hey Faye! Why am I not surprised that you love the bath, too?! You are kicking some serious cardio ass. Does the elliptical help with the running, since your knee hurts when you run too much? I have found the motion, at least, is very similar. I'd be interested to find out if the runs you do get to do feel stronger when you keep up the elliptical training. Also, you're so right on about shaving off those extra bits on the calories. It's so easy to go over by those 200 - a handful of this, a bite of that. It's really crazy when you're trying to not snack off the kid's food! And I don't ever like to get into this area with people, because you know, to each her own, but be mindful that 1200 - with *that* much exercise - may not be enough, in the long run.
Glad you had a great holiday, and extra glad you're right bsck on top. That's really the healthiest way to live - enjoy when you enjoy, and go right back when you're done.
Jonathan Swift said,
"May you live all the days of your life." I hope I do. I like to write here sometimes, a very impermanent, electronic reflection of my constantly changing path. I find writing and photography to be practices in presence as well as mediums for organizing thought. Some of the connections I've made here are more important to me than I could have imagined.
