Hi Faye! fitday.com Has calorie tracking and food databases, or you can enter your own nutritional info for foods not listed. It's good stuff!
I can't believe you gave up dairy - I don't know if I could hang up cheese. I'm also one of these people who drinks milk with dinner. I could give up meat, but not dairy! Well, you know what, I'm saying that, but it's not true. I used to also eat rolls and/or bread with dinner every night, and I don't do that now. I hardly ever eat bread at all any more (I'm not low or no carb, either, I just tried to cut out a lot of processed foods, and the bread I like is white and fluffy and yummy, I might add) and I would have sworn *that* was impossible, so there.
I'm such a procrastinator, too. Oh my god, it is so annoying. I leave everything to the last minute - papers when I was in grad school, report cards for the kids, EVERYTHING. And every time I'm scrambling around, pulling an all-nighter (face it, I am not 23 any more, and all-nighter takes days to recover from) I swear to all gods that I will NEVER do this again. And it happens every time. It's so annoying!
It's kind of the same way I feel about binge eating. I'll still have those episodes occassionally (4 zebras? Amateur!) and afterward I just feel physically ill from eating too much, or too much crap, and I'll be like, Man, that's so not worth it. What's the point? I'm not doing that again! But then eventually I do.
Jonathan Swift said,
"May you live all the days of your life." I hope I do. I like to write here sometimes, a very impermanent, electronic reflection of my constantly changing path. I find writing and photography to be practices in presence as well as mediums for organizing thought. Some of the connections I've made here are more important to me than I could have imagined.

Huh. I may need to go lay down now.
